Wandering in Venice

If one thing could be said about Venice, is that it is a city made for walking.

Yes it was made famous by the canals and the gondolas that ply it, but it is through walking that you get to really discover this most romantic of romantic cities. Every twist and turn of its  roads and alleyways leads you to a beautiful sculpture or an intricately detailed bridge or a grand plaza. Sometimes you walk with a specific destination in mind; other times you just wander around, not really thinking about where you're going to, but always trusting that the road you're on will lead you to one of the city's many, many treasures.

And so you walk.
